Who is responsible
This page covers hop-the-islands.com and is the responsibility of the Hop the Islands site. For anything about your data, write to contact@hop-the-islands.com.
It describes what the site does today. If that changes, we will update this page and its date.
What we record
To understand which pages are useful, the site uses Google Analytics. It records page views, an approximate country, the type of device and how you arrived at the site, and it uses cookies to do so.
Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which logs technical access data such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the pages and keep them secure.
The text fonts are loaded from Google’s font service, and some pages show photos of tours that are loaded directly from a partner’s servers (Civitatis). When such a page opens, your browser contacts those servers, which receive technical data such as your IP address.
What we do not do
There are no accounts, no newsletter, no comments and no forms on this site. We do not sell personal data.
The site itself does not store cookies or other data in your browser; the cookies come from Google Analytics.
Links to partner sites
Some links on this site lead to partner sites, such as tour sellers, Booking.com and NordVPN; if you book or buy through them, the site may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
When you click, you go to the partner’s website, which has its own privacy policy and may set its own cookies. The booking and the payment take place there, and this site does not receive your booking details.
Messages you send us
If you write to contact@hop-the-islands.com, we use your message only to reply to you. There is no contact form and no phone line; everything goes by email.
Other websites
The site links to the official websites of ferry companies, so you can confirm the live timetable, and to photo credits. Those sites have their own policies and we do not control them.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us for access to, correction of or deletion of anything you have sent us by writing to contact@hop-the-islands.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can turn off Google Analytics with the browser add-on available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
